Magische BioBellen traktatie how-to
Benodigdheden:
- BioBubbles van Sonett
- ijzerdraad (liefst RoestVrijStaal) zo’n 35 cm per blaasring
- dun ijzerdraad
- tangetje (om te buigen en te knippen)
- houten kralen (om het handvat te rijgen)
- touwtje/raffia
- label/kaartje
Stappenplan:
Het is niet ingewikkeld, maar bij het maken van ring #3 merk je wel dat je ineens doorhebt hoe je het draad het handigste draait en hoeveel kralen je ongeveer nodig hebt…kwestie van ‘proberen is leren’, aldus de juf van C.
- Knip een x aantal stukken ijzerdraad af van om en nabij de 35 cm. Bedenk even hoeveel traktaties je nodig hebt plus een voor broertjes en zusjes, je kind zelf en de juf/meester.
- Draai het ene eind om de onderkant van het bellenblaas potje, draai het uiteinde van het ijzerdraad om het lange stuk zodat een ring ontstaat. Safety first: zorg dat er geen ijzerdraad uitsteekt. En buig de ring dan iets ovaal zodat ie makkelijk in het bellenblaas potje past.
- Geef hem aan je kind (blijf erbij zodat er geen ongelukken gebeuren) en laat je kind de kralen kiezen en rijgen totdat je steeltje van de bellenblaas ring lang genoeg is. (bij ons zo’n cm)
- Maak zelf ondertussen de volgende ring, en de volgende, en de volgende….
- Buig het draad aan het uiteinde van het steeltje dubbel en draai het vervolgens weer vast. Zorg dat er geen prikkende ijzerdraad eindjes uitsteken.
- KLAAARRRRRR! -Dacht ik-
- Testfase 1. ik kwam erachter dat de zelfgemaakte ringen helemaal niet zo magisch bellen bleken te blazen #epicfail… Na de standaard bellenblaas ringen te hebben onderzocht heb ik de volgende oplossing gevonden:
- Draai een dunner ijzerdraadje om het ring gedeelte. Dan bubbelt ie ‘t ineens beregoed!
- Testfase 2. laat de kinderen ze allemaal even proberen om te zien hoe het met hun toverkrachten staat.
- Knoop de magische Ring aan het flesje BioBubbles, hang er een kaartje aan et voìla!
Ondertussen heb ik kralen uit de thee gevist, kralen van de grond geraapt, kralen die O er (‘kijk mama!’) af had laten glijden er terug op geregen en hem een plak cake (‘mama, taart!’) geserveerd. Na afloop van de testfases had ik geen wasmiddel meer nodig om zijn kleren een sopje te geven en bleek handzeep ook totaal overbodig; mission completed!

How to make a magic BioBubble wand
What you need:
- Sonett BioBubbles
- wire (preferably stainless steel) about 35 cm per bubble wand
- thinner wire
- tools (to bend and cut the wire)
- wooden beads
- piece of rope/ some string
- gift tag
How to assemble:
- Cut x pieces of wire of approximately 35 cm each. Don’t forget to include a wand for the birthday boy or girl him or herself, for siblings and for the teacher.
- Twist one end of the wire around the base of the BioBubbles container, then twist the very end around the long end of the wire so that you get a ring shape on one end. Safety first: make sure no wire sticks out. Then bend the ring into an oval shape so that it fits the BioBubbles container.
- Give it to your child (under parental supervision) and let them choose and string the beads until it is as long as you like. (our bubble wands turned out about 24 cm long (beaded part appr. 18 cm))
- In the meantime prepare the next ring, and the next, and the next, and…
- Bend the wire on the far end of the wand backwards and then twist until fixed. Make sure no hazardous wire ends stick out.
- ANDDD READY FOR ACTION! -I thought-
- Test phase 1. Turned out that the magical homemade bubble wand were not half as magical as I expected…no bubbles, no glory. #epicfail… After researching the bubble wand that comes with the container, I found the following solution :
- Twist a thinner piece of wire around the ring part. (again watch out for stinging wire ends) And let the bubbling begin!
- Test phase 2. Let the kids show their magic.
- Tie the homemade bubble wand to the BioBubbles container, add a tag et Voìla!
In the meantime I retrieved beads from son O’s cup of tea, gathered beads off the floor, put the beads that our birthday boy (‘look mummy!’) had slip off of the wand back onto it and I served him a piece of poundcake. After both test phases, neither did I need laundry detergent to wash his clothes nor handsoap to wash his hands; mission completed!
